Diese "Jodhpur-Stiefel" wurden in der Werkstatt handgefertigt und können absolut mit jedem anderen amerikanischen und englischen Schuh konkurrieren. Die Charkteristika der besten Schuhe sind in diesem Meisterstück vereint: Rahmengenähte Sohle und handschuhfeines Box-Kalbsleder-Futter. Eine schwer beeindruckende Arbeit der Schuhmacherkunst. Mit Voll-Leder-Sohle und "Split reverse welt -storm welt" ist diese Schuh genauso ideal geeignet für das Land wie für die Stadt.
Grösse: 42,5D für den mittel-breiten Fuss. (UK 8,5E, US 9,5D).

Sowohl der Jodhpur Boot (benannt nach dem Maharadscha von Jodhpur), als auch der Chukka-Boot stammen aus dem 19. Jahrhundert, zu Zeiten der britischen Präsenz in Indien und der Entdeckung des Polo-Spiels durch britische Teeanbauer an der burmesischen Grenze zu Indien. Der Jodhpur-Stiefel wurde von den Briten auch zu Hause in Grossbritannien eingeführt, wegen seiner eleganten Erscheinung und seiner praktischen Anwendung - nicht nur beim Reiten. Er wurde sehr schnell zum Markenzeichen in der Garderobe eines Gentleman. Bitte nicht zu verwechseln mit dem an den Seiten elastischen Chelsea-Stiefel, der sich in den 1950ern und 1960ern einer kurzen Popularität erfreute.

This is the true Jodhpur with strap, not the type with the elastic gusset, the so-called Chelsea Boot. Goodyear welted, fully leather-lined and made from Full-Grain Calfskin, this is a most handsome and durable boot and my personal favourite among the Jodhpur variations; simple, sleek and elegant. The plain toe shows as beautifully under dress trousers as under jeans. The substantial Danite full rubber sole and heel and the ankle support of the high top give a sense of stability, standing or walking, that few other shoes provide. The split reverse welt (storm welt), unusual in a Jodhpur, provide extra protection against wet weather, thus this is a great choice for Country as well as Town.
Size: UK 6,5E….US 7.5D…..European 40-40,5D, for the mid-width foot.
Condition: Excellent, trivial wear on original sole and heel.
Both the Jodhpur Boot (named for the Maharaja of Jodhpur) and the Chukka Boot derive from the 19th century British presence in India, and the discovery of the game of Polo in the 1850s by British tea planters on the Burmese border with India. The Jodhpur boot was readily adapted by the British at home for it handsome appearance and practical use on or off horseback. It quickly became a staple of the Gentleman's wardrobe.
