Dies ist ein ungewöhnlich eleganter “Penny Loafer” von einem der unstreitbar besten Meisterschuhmacher, wunderbar gearbeitet, angenehm schlicht, jedoch in jedem Detail überzeugend. Mit seiner getunnelten, rahmengenähten Sohle ist dies ein unverwüstlicher und zugleich charmanter Schuh.
Grösse: 45D…(UK 10,5E)…(US 11,5 D), für den mittel-breiten Fuss.
Zustand: Superb, sehr leich getragen.

This is an unusually elegant Penny Loafer by an undisputed master shoemaker, beautifully finished, simple but with every detail considered, even to the hand antiquing of the front. With its channeled and skived Goodyear welted sole, this is as durable a shoe as it is a handsome one. The patina is that of a fine 18th century fruitwood bureau-plat.  Magnificent.
It should be mentioned that Bullock & Jones was one of the great traditional men's shops in San Francisco, located right on Union Square. But the age of sneakers, sweatshirts and outdoors-wear is upon us all, and Bullock have retreated to becoming some sort of catalogue company. But in their day, they rivaled the best men's stores in America and showed the finest traditional shoes available on either side of the Atlantic, Church's, Grenson, and, as shown here, Edward Green.
Condition: These shoes are near new, perhaps only worn a few time only.

Sans exagérez, nous avons devant nous un exemple de l'art de cordonnier le plus cultivé, une chaussure pour délie avec ces détailles raffinés. Avec « Goodyear Welt », cousue à la main, et doublure de cuir extra souple. Elle représente le summum d’une veille tradition en perdition.
Condition: Excellent, pres de neuf, patine superb.
